The Studio
Heartwood is a private handpoke tattoo studio in the northern Lake District near the beautiful Ullswater. It is a quiet space where you can relax with views out to greenery and singing birds.
All bodies are welcome at Heartwood. This is a LGBTQA+ and disablity friendly space.
I wanted to build a studio where client experience is prioritised as much as the tattoo itself. I am disabled and neurodivergent myself so I know that sometimes you have needs that aren't met or understood, I will always do my very best to accomodate you.
About Me
Hi! I'm Gem, I am a handpoke tattoo artist!
I discovered handpoke as an alternative way to be tattooed myself with the gentler nature of the handpoke process and the textures it produces capturing my heart, I hope it does yours as well!
I particulary love tattooing the natural world with a special interest in trees, the local wildlife and folklore of the Lake District.
Newsletter
I send out the occasional newsletter full of treats including first dibs on new flash last minute appointments, wanna-do flash deals and first access to new packages.
It's also quite nice to keep in the know without having to check social media.
I promise not to inundate you at most they'll be once or twice a month.
